  • April 18, Maundy Thursday Cantata and Communion Service 7:00 p.m., in the Sanctuary. Childcare for infants and younger children provided.

 

  • April 19, Good Friday Morning Ecumenical/Community Stations of the Cross (Ambulatory) beginning 9:00 a.m. at FUMC (FPC hosting Station 7), concluding at St. Joseph’s Church.

ALSO: Book Signing at Book Mart & Café (Starkville) – for FPC member Rev. Robert (Bruce) Latimer, presenting & signing day for his new book. Congratulations, Bruce!

  • April 20, Holy Saturday – Children’s Ministry Egg Hunt, 10:00 a.m.  at FPC. Meet in the Eastside Breezeway.  Biblical Children’s Message, Egg Hunt & snacks.

 

  • EASTER SUNDAY MORNING, April 21, Resurrection Sunday Worship Services:
  • 11 a.m. Classic Easter Service in the Sanctuary (with full Choir, and concluding with Handel’s “Hallelujah” Chorus from The Messiah;
  • 8:30 a.m. Classic Easter Services in the Sanctuary; and  
  • Easter Sunrise Service & Fellowship Breakfast. This service will begin by 6:30 a.m.; weather permitting, it will be at Robinson Lake. Check office or email, If inclement weather, we will have the service at FPC main campus. Please bring a snack food for the Fellowship Breakfast.

Sponsor or Help with FPC’s University Ministry Meals! On Mondays, Ben and Allison Jackson host a CCO/FPC meal to students in their home. Church members are invited not only to help with food but also to eat and mingle with everyone. If you would like to help some way – whether (a) bringing or sponsoring a meal or (b) helping serve the meal and spending fellowship time with the students, then please speak to or email Allison or Ben ( ).

Come hear this Wednesday from one of the key missions and missionaries FPC began supporting last year and that we continue to support with ongoing partnership help from your regular giving and our Annual Budget:  Rev. Dr. Garth Gilmour, Exec. Dir. Of CMJ (Christian Ministry Among the Jewish People) in Israel - Preaching Wednesday at Noon, and Wednesday night at 6 p.m. - Speaking on CMJ Mission & Updates from Israel.

Dr. Gilmour is by training an archaeologist (Ph.D. from Oxford University in Ancient Near Eastern Archeology).  He now lives and works in Jerusalem, serving with Christ Church (Anglican), the oldest Protestant Church in the Old City of Jerusalem, and, specifically, as the Executive Director of CMJ.

Also this Wed. beginning at 5:50 p.m. – Children’s Choirs – rehearsal in Sanctuary

Make Your Reservations for Friends & Family Fellowship Dinner, Wednesday, 5:15-5:45 p.m.

We will meet at the MSU Rose Garden at 1:30 pm and tour the area.

Then we will go to MAEFES on campus for ice cream.

VBS Coming June 10-13; Registration Opens in May! Our Vacation Bible School Program (VBS) this year will be June 10-13, Monday-Thursday, from 8:30-11:30 a.m. Children ages 4 years old to 6th grade are welcome! Come join us as we learn about how life is wild, but God is good! Registration will be live and on the FPC website by early May.
