To learn more about faith in Jesus Christ, church membership, and/or opportunities to learn and serve at FPC, please speak to Pastor Lifer following the service,… or you may call the church office or send a note to him  via email ( ).

Visitors – including MSU and other students – and FPC Members:  If you need to update your information or let us know of Prayer Requests – Please complete a FIRSTConnect Card and place it in the Offering or in one of our FIRSTConnect Boxes inside the entranceways to help us know you are with us (and to follow up on ministry connections or prayer requests you may have by as well).

We also welcome today to FPC Dr. Garth Gilmore.

Dr. Gilmore is a archaeologist (Ancient Near Eastern/ “Biblical” Archeology) who earned a Masters Degree at Hebrew University in Jerusalem and his doctorate at Oxford University. He has excavated at a number of sites in Cyprus and Israel – including the ancient Philistine city of Ashkelon, as well as the historic “City of David” area of Jerusalem.

Garth now lives and works in Jerusalem. He serves with Christ Church (Anglican), the oldest Protestant Church in the Old City of Jerusalem, and, specifically, is the Executive Director of CMJ.

CMJ has been in Israel since the 1830s serving a three-fold purpose:

  • To inform the Gentile Church of the Jewish roots of our Christian faith;
  • To serve and honor the Jewish people by being a presence in the Land; and
  • To seek the spiritual restoration of the Jewish people.

Come hear Garth this Wednesday night at FirstConnect 201 and learn more about (a) a few highlights of his archeological work, and – especially – (b) about the current ministry of CMJ and of Christ Church in Jerusalem.  We meet in the Chapel at 5:55 p.m.
