Condolences to and Prayers for Family of Jimmy McKell: While we rejoice that longtime FPC member James R. (Jimmy) McKell on Wednesday, July 18, joined the Church Triumphant, please join us as we continue extended condolences to – and to pray for God’s comfort to – Vivian and John Cade, Vivian’s sister and brothers, and the other members of the McKell and Cade families. Services were at FPC yesterday.

The Sanctuary Flowers are given to the Glory of God and in memory of Jimmy McKell by his family.



All members are asked to attend – and all visitors are invited to -- our Annual Congregational Meeting TODAY, at the close of the worship service.

Reports and Action Items before the Annual Meeting include:

- A Report on the 2018 Budget and on Your Giving & Ministry Finances to date;

- Other Ministry Planning Updates; and

- The Election of two At-Large congregational members to the 2018-2019 Congregational Nominating Committee. The 2017-2018 Nominating Committee is presenting the following four nominees to be considered when the congregation at its Annual Meeting on July 22 elects two (2) At-Large-Members to serve on the 2018-2019 Congregational Nominating Committee:

Immediately following the Annual Congregational Meeting:


A Special Meeting of the Members of First Presbyterian Church of Starkville, Mississippi, Inc.

[All active, voting members of the congregation are members of the corporation].

The purpose of this Meeting is to review and act upon the Board of Directors’ recommendation to adopt proposed corporate Bylaws.

 [All members have received by email or by postal mail a copy of the proposed Bylaws, and additional copies are again also available in the Sanctuary, as they were last Sunday]
