Annual Congregational Meeting next Sunday

March 31 (before Close of 11 a.m. Service). All FPC members are asked to attend – and all guest are invited to – FPC’s Annual Congregational Meeting before the close of the March 31 11:00 a.m. Worship Service, for reports on:

  • The 2019 Budget and Ministry Plans, with approval of related adjustments to staff (including pastoral and other staff) compensation and other ministry allocations;
  • FPC Strategic Planning, including pending improvements to current facilities to enhance Children, Youth & Adult Education, as well as Fellowship Space.
  • FPC’s Outreach and other ministries.


The Sanctuary Flowers are given to the Glory of God by Ellen Mauldin in Honor/Memory of the Love, Robinson, Drane and Mauldin families.

FPC Parents, Children & Youth–

Learn during Sunday School and our 11:00 a.m. Service NEXT Sunday, March 31, about MVP Presbyterian Summer Camp Week for Children and Youth - July 22-27 - for Children and Youth from EPC and ARP congregations at the Rising Son Camp Facilities at French Camp, MS.  

All families and others interested in a Christian Camp option for children and Youth:  NEXT Sunday, we will hear about MVP Camp from Steven Ewing, Youth Director at New Albany Presbyterian Church.  This is a Presbyterian Children’s and Youth Camp at (French Camp’s) Camp of the Rising Son facility that includes leaders from our own EPC South Central Presbytery and will be held July 22-27.  Mr. Ewing hopes to visit and speak to our SOS-age, Youth, and New Covenant Sunday School groups during Sunday School time, will be available during the Fellowship Gathering, and will speak at our the 11:00 a.m. service.

If you are interested in being part of our October 2019 Mission Trip to Visit Scotland and the Free Church of Scotland congregations we are helping God to plant in Haddington and Dundee, and if you have not yet spoken to Jack Forbus or to Dr. Lifer as we begin to make our arrangements – please speak to one of them,… or leave a message this week with Rita Usher, Pastoral Secretary.

Departure Date for the Mission Team is to be Friday, October 11 (arriving in Edinburgh Saturday, October 12). Group members will have the option of returning either the weekend of October 18 or the weekend of October 25 (when Jack Forbus and Pastor Lifer will be returning, following the UKP Conference and Tour).
