Today’s Greeters: 8:30 – Carolyn Coleman; 11:00 – Patsy Stuart, Catherine Fandel

Red Geraniums are provided today to the Glory of God on this Pentecost Sunday.

This morning:

- Pastor Martin Lifer is preaching at the 20th Anniversary of the Chartering the Parkway Church (EPC) in Georgia. Dr. Lifer was the church planter (1997-98) and founding pastor (1998-2007) for Parkway – which received the Walton Grant Award in 2002 as one of leading new churches in the country.

- We welcome our Guest Preacher, the Rev. Dr. Robert (Bob) Wilbur. Pastor Wilbur recently retired after his final full-time pastorate at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Columbus, where he served for 18 years.  He and his wife, Barbara, have been married for 54 years, and they have three children and two grandchildren.  Pastor Wilbur holds an A.B. from Syracuse University, a B.D. from Princeton Theological Seminary, and a D.Min. from Reformed Theological Seminary, Orlando.  He has been in the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC) since 1984 and before that in the Presbyterian Church, US.

- Worshiping with us at our 11:00 a.m. Service is Ben Jackson, our incoming Assistant Minister for FPC’s CCO University Ministry Outreach. While we are welcoming Ben to our staff and mission team as we move into summer, Ben is simply in town this week for a few days. He will be away from Starkville for the much of the next two months – primarily engaged in CCO (Coalition for Christian Outreach) ministry training and team building. Ben and Allison will then be moving to Starkville in the latter half of the summer to begin his full-time work in Starkville with us at FPC in CCO University Ministry outreach.
