+We invite you to place in one of the baskets at the front of the Chancel – during the closing hymn or following the service – your Two-Cents-a-Meal Special Offering for this month – to be used to (1) defray FPC’s costs in hosting the Casserole Kitchen Mission on Tuesday and Thursday nights AND (2) support for FPC’s other benevolence missions.

Congratulations to William Michael (Will) Dunlap and Kayla Elizabeth White Dunlap – who were married last night (May 26) in our Sanctuary in a Wedding Service led by Pastor Lifer. Will is the son of FPC members Mike and Beth Ann Dunlap.

The flowers in the Sanctuary today are provided by the Dunlap and White families to the glory of God and in celebration of the marriage of Will and Kayla.

We continue to extend sympathies to — and to pray for God’s peace and gospel comfort to — new FPC member Maggie Cresswell and her family, following the death of her grandfather, Gerald Matlock (Hickory, MS), on Wednesday, May 23. Services were held Friday at the Union Baptist Church in Meridian. Maggie’s grandmother, Mr. Matlock’s widow, is Sharon Matlock; Maggie’s mother is Cara Matlock Jones (Oxford, MS).

Thank you for all your concern, prayers, meals, visits, cards and most of all, your prayers during our recent illnesses and surgeries.                         Myles and June Carpenter

NEXT SUNDAY, June 3: HOLY COMMUNION IN 8:30 AND 11 AM SERVICES- We invite all baptized and affirming believers who have previously been approved and prepared to discern and partake of the Body to enter this week of spiritual renewal in seeking to share in the Lord’s Supper – including renewal through repentance, through reconciliation to God and to others (particularly fellow believers from whom you may have become estranged), and through trusting in God’s grace in all things.
