Please join us as we extend our condolences to – and our prayers for God’s comfort to – the Knight family, following the death on Friday, November 16, of Scottie’s brother, James Ray Wood.

 

We invite you to place in one of the baskets at the front of the Chancel during the closing hymn or following the service – your FPC Benevolence Missions Support Special Offering for this month. This offering is used to supplement FPC’s local benevolence mission support and mission ministries.

Starkville Christmas Parade – Tomorrow (Monday), November 26, 5:00 p.m.

Help Us Decorate the FPC Float THIS AFTERNOON!

Join us TODAY, 2:30 p.m., the west-side church parking lot to decorate our float for the Christmas parade. Please call Ashleigh Murdock or the church office, if you would like more information.

 

University Students!

Join Ben and Allison Jackson tomorrow afternoon and evening for pizza and to watch the Starkville Christmas Parade from the FPC front lawn. Invite your friends! Gather 5:00 p.m.; Parade begins at 6:00 p.m. (Rain cancels.)

 

MISSION HELP NEEDED

BE AN ANGEL THIS CHRISTMAS!  Buy gifts for our FPC Child Care Center workers’ dependent children.  Tags with suggested gifts and sizes are on the Angel Christmas Tree in the Fellowship Hall.  Please take one or more of these tags from the tree, buy and wrap the gifts, and then bring the wrapped gifts (tags attached) to the church office by Wednesday, December 19

 

Help us Ring the Red Kettle Christmas Bell to Raise Funds for the Salvation Army Mission Campaign!

FPC has committed to “Ring the Bell” outside the Starkville Kroger Pharmacy entrance Saturday, December 22 (noon-7 pm) Pleaseindividually or with family members or friendssign up for open one-hour slots on the sheet posted on the bulletin board in the Fellowship Hall, or sign up online at https://tinyurl.com/FPC-2018-Red-Kettle Please call Joel Downey if you have questions.

 

Christmas Co-op Toy Drive for Starkville Poverty Coalition

FPC is a drop-off location for a Toy Drive sponsored by Starkville Poverty Coalition.

Donations of new toys for children ages 12 and younger are being collected for the first annual Starkville Christmas Co-Op, designed to address the needs of those living in chronic poverty in our community. Please be sure to include all parts for the gift (e.g., crayons for a coloring book).

The collection box is under the stairs near the Parlor. Please see details on the box if you’d like to participate.  Deadline to donate is December 9.
