A Greeting from Olivia Whittenton

Hello FPC! I am so excited to be serving alongside the ministry leaders and members of First Presbyterian as pastoral secretary and church office administrator. I was born and raised in Decatur, Alabama, by parents who loved the Lord. Through their guidance and the grace of God, I was able to start a relationship with Christ at a young age. From this relationship, God has given me the desire to serve and grow God's Church throughout my life.

I graduated from Mississippi State in 2017 with a bachelor's of business in marketing and a minor in religion. During my time at Mississippi State, I was involved with ministries on and off-campus, such as BSU, Project 2:2, Lightbearers, and Palmer Home for Children. After graduation, I married Bryan Whittenton, and moved to his hometown of Forrest City, Arkansas, so that he could help at his family's row crop farm. Then, my husband Bryan and I moved back to Starkville in January 2020, so that Bryan could pursue a Ph.D. in agriculture.

We are attending Redeemer Church, where we are currently involved in co-hosting the college ministry Bible studies. God has blessed me with opportunities to work in the medical insurance and retail industry for three years. Through these experiences, I have learned and grown in office management, problem-solving, and customer-care relationships. I have volunteered with multiple non- profits to create social media content, websites, and marketing materials. I am so excited to use God's gifts to serve FPC’s members and ministries and the Starkville community.
