FPC YOUTH MISSIONS TRIP Application– July 13th-18th 

WHERE ARE WE GOING AND WHAT ARE WE DOING:

We are asking all interested students (current 8th graders and up) to complete this application to serve in Chattanooga, TN at Widow’s Harvest Ministries. Widow’s Harvest exists for the purpose of defending the cause of the widow. One of the greatest areas of need, on a global scale, for widows today is housing and home maintenance. Widows Harvest Ministries has made both major and minor repairs on thousands of widow’s homes in Chattanooga. Our focus will be helping Widow’s Harvest with the home maintenance projects and painting. We will be staying in dorms at Covenant College where our breakfast and lunches will also be provided. This is a great opportunity for us!  

TRIP COST IS $450.00 AND COVERS THE FOLLOWING: ($50 Deposit due with application and $400 due 60 days prior to the trip)

THINGS TO KNOW

  • You must submit this completed application to participate in this trip.

  • Participants are asked to follow the guidelines outlined in the team covenant.

  • Short Term trips are rewarding and life changing.

  • Team members are expected to attend team meetings (4:00pm on 2/16, 4/27, 5/18).

  • All costs are the team member’s responsibility and are due according to trip due dates.

  • Each team member will be required to send out 15 mission support letters to family and friends for the cost of the trip. We will give more details about this in our first team meeting and will walk each student through this process.

  2. Be Respectful to our host’s, team leaders, and each other.

  3. Come with a desire to serve others (ministry partners and team members).

  4. Show kindness and patience in relationships with ministry partners and team members.

  5. Attend all team meetings before the trip as well as any follow‐up meetings.

  6. Be inclusive to all team members at all times.
