Children’s Ministry News

Our OCTOBER activities concluded on Sunday afternoon, October 25, with our beautiful and fun Fall Harvest Fellowship at Robinson Lake. We thank all our adults (including College Students) and Youth who participated and helped us with the Children’s Activities and the Fellowship.

Youth Ministry News

Sunday Night Youth Group Activities (Games & Fellowship, Dinner, and Bible Study), 5-7 p.m. – this month on November 1, 8 & 15 (but off for the Sundays before and after Thanksgiving).

We’ll also have our Youth Group Wednesday Study Night from 6-8 p.m. on November 4, 11, 18.

Finally, we’ll host our Second Annual BLACK FRIDAY FLAG FOOTBALL GAMES & FELLOWSHIP, NOV. 27. Members & friends of all ages – Come join us, to play OR just to enjoy hot chocolate, snacks & fellowship!

FPC Youth Leaders and Youth Help Lead 11:00 a.m. Sunday Services this Fall.

It has been a joyful blessing to have FPC Youth, together with Youth Leaders Mattie & Maddie, assisting with 11:00 a.m. worship services this fall.

– including Our Sunday Night College Group Bible Study & Fellowship (7:30-8:45 p.m.), the Upcoming FPC University Group RETREAT at FPC Friday p.m. – Saturday, Nov. 6 & 7, ... and Much Hosting and Connecting with MSU Student Groups (BYX, No Longer Bound, etc.)

Worship & Music Ministry News

In October, Dr. Craig Aarhus led Chancel Choir Members in a Return to Wednesday Night Practices and the Video Recording of Choral Anthems to Be Played in Sunday Worship Services. Craig, Jennifer Blackbourn, and Choir members have also begun preparing musical selections & readings for the Christmas Mission Blessings Services on December 13.

Piper Tim Gordon will play the bagpipes in our All Saints’ Services on November 1.

FPC Starkville (EPC) Women’s Ministry

Following the Women’s Ministry Fall Retreat, Circles [Women’s Community Groups for Fellowship, Meals, Bible Study, Prayer, and Mission Support] continue to meet this fall and winter – normally on various days & times during the 2nd Week of each month. The 2020-2021 Bible Study is Lysa Terkeurst’s engaging study of 1 & 2 Kings – TRUSTWORTHY: Overcoming Our Greatest Struggles to Trust God. Contact Moderator Rebecca Banzhaf or Pastoral Secretary Olivia Whittenton in the Church Office to get involved and to learn about upcoming schedules.
